Hutch Camp
Hutch Camp is a volleyball camp for girls who want to either learn the basics of volleyball or further develop their skills. Hutch Camp is held each Saturday during the months of June and July. It is a time for girls to have a lot of fun and learn the game of volleyball at the same time.
Girls entering grades 6 through 8 attend the morning session. Girls entering grades 9 through 12 are in the afternoon session. The players are divided into groups with girls of similar abilities. For girls who are either already committed to play in college or those who want to attempt to walk on, a special session is available immediately after the afternoon session by appointment only.
SKILL LEVEL
The skill level of the girls who attend Hutch Camp varies greatly; from those who have yet to learn how to serve, to those who are on college scholarship. Whatever the skill level of a girl, when she attends Hutch Camp, the coaches strive to improve the player’s skills.
Various high schools are represented by the players who attend Hutch Camp. Some of these high schools include: Rowlett, Garland, South Garland, Horn, Sachse, Lake Highlands, Highland Park, Dallas Christian, First Baptist and Forney. Girls come from many of the different middle schools in the area including: Dallas Christian, Coyle, Brandenburg, Highland Park, Shelton and Cain.
Those who have attended Hutch Camp or who have otherwise been coached by Coach Hutch have earned the following honors. The number in parenthesis is the number of players who have won that award.
