Hutch Volleyball

Hutch Camp is a great opportunity for girls to enhance their game as volleyball players. It’s a good way to stay in shape over the summer, as well as get ready for school tryouts in the fall. The girls will get to do a lot of playing, as well as one on one attention. Coach Hutch is one of the most patient people that I’ve ever met and will stop at nothing to help a player better their game. Coach Hutch keeps Hutch Camp organized, but very fun so that the girls stay interested in the sport of volleyball. Too many girls nowadays aren’t having fun and therefore quit. Hutch keeps it fun and entertaining for the girls, as well as giving direction to make them a better player. I highly recommend Hutch Camp to any player interested in hopes of achieving their potential as a volleyball player.

Hutch Camp is different from all the other camps I have ever been to. Most volleyball camps have everyone working on passing for the first week. Not Hutch Camp. Hutch Camp acctually focusses on what you really need to work on. Whether it’s hitting, serving, blocking, tipping, passing, setting, ANYTHING! The coaches actually take you aside and tell you what you’re doing wrong or what you can do to improve at a skill. Honestly the first day I was there I thought the camp was going to be like any other camp. Same boring drills, same boring skills. My mind was suddenly changed when we didn’t work on passing so much the first day, I really encourage and recommend anyone who is really interested in volleyball to go to Hutch Camp.

Hutch camp provides a welcoming atmosphere to players of all skill levels, whether you’re a player about to enter your first year of college ball or just starting high school. Hutch challenges each player on an individual basis; his love for the game and for his players is evident every time he steps into the gym. At Hutch Camp, expect to be educated as well as trained in the sport of volleyball.

I’ve never met anyone who knows more about Volleyball than Steve Hutcheson! Hutch Camp has been wonderful for my two daughters. Players are separated by age so younger players are not intimidated by the older, possibly more experienced players. Hutch Camp teaches specific skills, builds confidence, and best of all…the players have Fun!

There are so many things I could say about Steve Hutcheson. Steve is a servant of God, great father, terrific husband to his wife, and someone who cares deeply about making girls better at volleyball. I have worked with Steve for two varsity volleyball seasons and I have seen his hard work with individuals pay off. He sees everything, and can teach the player in simple steps on how to correct any problem. Coach Hutch comes highly recommended by me for his work ethic, Christian example, and his vast volleyball knowledge.

Steve Hutcheson has a passion and gift for teaching and coaching young athletes. We have been blessed to have had our daughters, Kristen and Jenna, under his instruction at Hutch Camp. He is patient, encouraging, and helps girls develop spiritually as well as physically. Coach Hutch always goes the extra mile and is willing to spend time with each individual. The Hutch camp was one of the best volleyball camps I went to all summer! Unlike all the other camps I attended, the coaches actually took me aside and told me what I was doing wrong and what I needed to keep doing. They didn’t spend as much time working on the basic setting and passing drills which grow dreadfully boring after a time. We worked on diving, hitting, serving, and alot of other fun things. I really enjoyed this camp and hope to return every summer!
