Any fond/funny memories with Hutch?: Where do I begin… I still have fond memories of my sisters and I getting up extra early to help set up for Hutch Camp at Charger Gym. We were a small, but mighty team! It was super early, and on a Saturday, but it was so fun to see our dad’s excitement of being able to teach volleyball. Now it is even more fun to coach with some of the very first Hutch Camp Attendees!

Don Connelly
Don Connelly first started coaching volleyball in 2006 to spend more time with his daughters who loved to
play.He coached both of his daughter’s SVAA teams and has continued to stay involved in the sport
throughout their club volleyball careers. He is USA Volleyball IMPACT certified and has trained under
Steve Hutcheson for many years. He loves continuously learning more about the game and strategies, but
most importantly, helping girls improve. He believes it is all about them. This is Don’s 9th summer coaching
Hutch Camp, which his daughters also attended.
Some of his favorite funny memories from Hutch Camp have come from the coaches’ weekly meetings. They can be entertaining and quite comical.
His favorite Bible verse is Psalm 23:1-3 “The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing. He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, he refreshes my soul.”

Coaching Experience: I have been coaching Hutch camp for 3 years now. I traveled to Nairobi Kenya with

at Impact volleyball club in San Antonio (a christian club) for a 12's local team.
Years Playing Volleyball: I played for 12 years
High School Honors: I got 110% award for Plano East Varsity team my sophomore and junior year. My senior year I received best defensive award and best female athlete out of the entire high school for all sports. I also got second team all district junior and senior year.
College Honors: I was on the Southland Conference honor roll, but because I completed 2 seasons before deciding to end my career that is all I received.

Favorite Bible Verse: "What is impossible with man is possible with God." Luke 18:27
Any fond/funny memories with Hutch?: Hutch is just such a crazy guy! The best is that we are required to introduce our boyfriends to him and he tells the boy something that remains a mystery to us. The most fond is that he is an incredible mentor and lets me lead devotionals which is a passion of mine!
